Ornamental grasses

Here we present a colourful selection from the wide range of ornamental grasses. Many new varieties combine surprisingly well with other plants because of their shape and colour. Most grasses are at their best in summer and early autumn. They make it possible to create a garden in an original way.
The assortment may change during season.

Grasses require a different way of looking.
The leaves provides the greatest ornamental value. And the flowering spikes are often adding an extra dimension to the plant. The height of the grasses ranges from about 5 centimeters from the lowest ground cover up to 6-7 meters for the new giant grass Triarrhena. Much lower species, such as evergreen Carex are very beautiful as groundcovers.. Almost all of our offered grasses grow in pollen. Carex, Deschampsia and Sesleria should be rejuvenated every few years. In spring, the above the ground portion of the non-evergreen species can be pruned back at hand height.
We only sell those species that we have good experiences with ourselves. Therefore,  Festuca, Koeleria and  Helictotrichon, whose growth this unpredictable, we don’t offer anymore..
Grasses can be planted all year around, except the winter season. During the growing season but special in summer and autumn the grasses are at their best and are their best types to make a choice. In the early summer we need pictures and books to show their beauty.
Prices range from € 2 to € 7 each.
